Thinking of making a bush craft knife. Would anyone care to define what the blade should be... i.e. angle of grind on a 1/8 blade, what would the cross section of blade look like? . Can 5/32 blade do good as a bush craft?

Too thick. 4/32 or 3/32 -- 1/8 or less. Bushcraft is finesse, not brute force.

BTW, Tech Support is for website questions. I'll move this to Shop Talk -- for knifemaking.

5/32" is fine for bush crafting. That is actually my favorite thickness BUT......1/8" is more the norm for most. Throw a 12.5 Degree (per side) scandi grind and roll on brother :)

I'm not a bushcraft guy but many claim that the Woodlore knife is perfect for bushcraft
