Bushcraft knives with a high Point?

I actually thought the same thing after the new BK18 was released. Had I known about the BK18, I think I would've purchased one for testing and incorporated and learnings from that into my design. But, I'm pretty happy with the similar knives I did have and use to get some functional cues for this one.

I think I'll likely try a BK18 in the future as it is nice looking knife but I do think the BK18 is much more along the "tactical" look, mostly from the swedge which I don't like for camping or bushcraft as it eats up batons and thumbs. It's still pretty slick, as most Beckers are. I also like the departure from black on black.
 
We got the prototype finished up and it's on it's way from the knifemaker, JK Knives, headed my way. I like how it's turned out so far from the pics.

Are you on a mobile device? It's showing on my laptop right now. I'll upload a better picture with Imgur once I have the knife in hand as it's in the mail right now. Get some outdoor background in it if the weather cooperates.

Odd. I linked my instagram post in the link above but just uploaded the images to my imgur account so they should be available now. These are images from the knife maker so I'll still get some of my own once they arrive. The way the weather has been around Michigan I should be able to get some fire making photos if the wind calms down for a few minutes.
