Bushcraft Oscars - post to WIN!

Hollowdweller, you seem to have done a good job shaping your handle.

Allen

Thanks. a 4" horizontal and a 1" 30" vertical belt sander and dremel really speeds up the process.

Also all while I am doing it I take the knife outside and cut stuff with it to see what it feels like. I've done a few and it's pretty easy as long as you don't take too much off.

I think on the first one I did I kept a Bark River Aurora close at hand to use as a guide.

Any chance for an extension? I got my tactical sheath with firesteel (thanks Dan!!) a few days ago, but have a huge test tomorrow so I haven't had time for pics. Given another few days, I'd definitely post a few.

Okay I went on a short hiking trip today and have a story with pictures to follow. I'm on night call all night at the hospital, but as soon as I get home tomorrow, I will post it up.

I think we need a new due date and some more entries. With all the Bushcraft knives that got sold, I can't believe more people aren't participating for a chance to win an always useful firesteel.

I made a video, but it is really not worth time it takes to upload it. Nothing useful comes from it.

Sounds good to me, Snow - Let's move the due date up to a week from Friday.

All entries considered!!!!

If you already made it, you might as well upload it. As for nothing useful coming of it, I can think of a few things.

  • Others in the forum might enjoy watching it
  • It would give Dan some pride to see your knife being used
  • You could win a prize

I'm not trying to force you or anything, but really man. That attitude stinks.:thumbdn:

I may still upload it. Its in parts so I need to mess around with it on Windows Movie Maker.

The main problem is the knife isn't really "used" Its mainly me striking a firesteel and cutting some small sticks lol. Wouldn't hurt anything to post it though, so I most likely will.

Do it.

Snow's been named honorary bouncer of the Koster Knives Forum. :D

All vids are good vids.

Thanks for making one!

Dan

Ok I promise I will throw that video together tonight. Is the contest still on?

edit: Ok Microsoft Movie maker is making my computer freeze up. I am at work right now and don't really feel like dealing with a moody computer so i will work on it at home later.

Yes - of course. Take your time!

Hopefully not too late, but regardless I will share!

May not look like much, but after being housebound for over two months with temperatures being from -22f to -76f it means a lot!
