This Bushcraft knife is 3/32 thick and made of L6 tool steel recovered from a 10" table saw blade. The blade length is 4 inches long, 1.25 inches wide and an overall length of 8.9 inches. It is differentially heat treat achieving an edge hardness of about Rc 60 and draw the point back to about Rc55 for higher toughness. The spine is left at a lower hardness for maximum strength. The blade is flat-semi convex ground to a thin egde with a final convex exge brought to a razor edge. The blade finish is a mustard pitina.
The scales of this knife are Hawaiian Koa wood that are bolted with stainless steel screws and round brass nuts, Loveless style, to the knives full tang with a brass tube thong hole. I feel bolts provide greater strength and durability than pins.
The tooled pouch sheath is made of heavy 8/9 ounce leather.
SOLD (Price Reduced to is $70 shipped in US)
I prefer PayPal (my account is kelley_ward2@agilent.com) but take other forms of payment.
Thanks,
Kelley Ward
