Bushcraft variant - in the works

Thats purpleheart. A good possibility for a bushcraft knife. Hard as all hell.

Osage and what. I've used a ton of Osage laminations lately!

What do you guys want to see on this Koster???

Andy your handles are amazing man !!!!;)

I like the flat grind...very interesting. Andy, make sure you post some pics when you get it done!

Rosewood is one of my favorites, and nice and cheap too...

Just wondering, does "full flat" means "FULL flat" "Full-flat-secondary-grind-with-a-bevel"?

Yes.

Only a scandi grind is a true zero edge.

On certain knives I do a full flat grind down to almost nothing (0.005") - the K5 Kardas, for example.

But all others are ground to 0.010"-0.020" thick at the edge - thickness depending on knife size and application.

Got it. Looks fantastic! Thanks Dan!

That's a pretty rad blade, looks like a slicer. I'd second HD's idea about dropping the edge line. Some beefy handles and I'd be all over one.

No. Maybe I'll work on that this weekend.

No. Slammed at home right now. Its sitting there staring at me and I haven't even been able to cut up some slabs yet...

Blastit!!!
