So, I've been downloading some Ray Mears stuff lately. I love it! I wish they had more bushcraft info, but the same is true of survival videos. I like Rays stuff because it is less drink-water-from-poo and more this is a way to make a cooking pot tripod, tent stakes, and canoe paddle.

Are there videos like Ray's that deal more with bushcraft skills than survival skills? I've got some books on the way, but I enjoy the scenery of videos a lot as well. Show series, individual shows, or movies would be appreciated.

If you want pure survival info, anything from Ron Hood is worth the money but without much of the bushcraft make your own tools school of thought, Ron gives proper survival instruction and has better info than Les & Bear combined. Other than non bushcraft there isnt a lot of videos just a few guys with some film out there. Others will chime in.

Well for videos I enjoyed the Praire Wolf Videos. They're a couple that live primitive on a ranch and teach the skills they live with. They are more than profiecent sp? with flintknapping, tanning, cordage making, fire making, and just basic survival stuff very informative.

Those A-Z of bushcrafts are pretty cool. I've watched a few of those.

I'm throwing in my recommendation to my wild and medicinal plant mentor, Marty Simon. Here is a link to his plant video. http://www.weteachu.com/videos.htm

Good stuff straight from the WLC to you.
