I have 3 of Mr. Dron’s knives. 2 hunter sidekicks & a neck knife. All three display excellent workmanship. The knives came razor sharp & are easily kept that way. The edge geometry greatly assists in this. The leathercraft on the scout style sheaths is superb. The knives are thoughtfully designed keepers.

Thanks Dan!
I realize the asking price might be a showstopper for someone who wants the knife but don't care about sheath. I can make instead a classic kydex sheath (taco or pancake, your choice) with leather belt loop. Kydex thickness 0.08" or 0.093". The price of such combo would be $200 shipped. Feel free to PM me with questions.

Really nice design, question on the tangs. Do you do cutouts or leave full solid tangs (which I prefer anyhow). Also what other steels do you work with? Thx

this one was drilled out. But in general, it depends on knife balance. If handle is too heavy to keep the balance on the finger groove behind the guard - I remove as much material as needed. To some limit of course, to not compromise the overall integrity. Usually knives with 6" and longer blade don't need tang "skeletonized", the balance point already on the guard or even past it.
As for the steel - S30V/S35VN, CPM-154, Sandvik, AEB-L, Nitro-V, D2, 3V, xwear, A2, O1 and maybe couple more. I do heat treat myself and try not to mess with steel that requires complicated HT environment and super high temperatures over 2100F. I do only dry-ice cryo (well, actually subzero, not cryo)

Thx for the reply, as far as balance goes it's a personal preference and I like the added control of the slight added weight in the handle, spoken to other makers and many share that opinion.
