Bushcrafter pics

Bushcrafter. O1, tapered tang. Ancient bog oak (estimated at 6k years old if I am reading this carbon dating form correctly) yellow over black.

Not to derail the thread, but a question for you and any of the rare bog oak Fiddlebackers out there. Do you intend to use these knives, or does cost/exclusivity relegate them to fondling only? Just wondering, not judging.

My contribution.... – Bushcrafter, Arizona Desert Ironwood over natural canvas with a white g10 pisntripe, SFT Tang, Convex on 1/8” thick 3D Spalted 01 steel

Michael,
I am going to start a new thread because I would actually like to hear what some of the others with rare scales, one-offs, firsts, etc do too

Just packaged this one up and will be mailing it to the new owner (a fiddler for fiddler trade with a forum member).
This Bloodwood 5/32 O1 was one of my first and favorite Fiddlebacks, but it just sat in my drawer. Solo picture with it's new freshly made pants.

That is such a beautiful set up. She will be loved and appreciated. Thanks again brother...

That is a sweet handle combo Crewbot. Very nice spalting on the blade too. That is definitely a keeper.

Phil

Yup, never letting this one go. That handle combo is what started it all for me. I saw it on a Bushfinger but was too slow. Luckily Andy posted this BC shortly after. I missed the BF again on the exchange a year or so later. Still wish I had nabbed that one.

Thanks. The handle feel on that one is what hooked me on Fiddlebacks.

Here's my contribution.
Thick in the Grip. African Blackwood with natural canvas bolsters and liners. Tapered Tang 5/32" 01 Steel
