Bushcrafters X Two

Actually those resemble closely in size and shape the custom you made me. I orginally bought if for my nephew for another use but he took on our trip and used it for everything around camp and he says its going to be one of his favorite blades for bushcraft and camp chore stuff. The blade whittles feather sticks like butter and its comfortable in hand. And its great for food prep. So Im not sure you're so far off with these knives. My only change I would make to the custom you made me I might have had you put a bit of a finger groove for a more secure grip and I may have leaned towards Micarta or a textured grip if I knew thatwould be what my nephew decided to use it for.
Im not a brushcrafter first but I hunt, fish, camp, and do alot of horseback riding in the back country and those designs are very useful. So I wouldnt get down on the knife and totally scrap it.

You can't please 'em all as we all know.
Make the knives, but give em a better name.

How about the JK Craftsman?

I'm just going to leave them in the Knives On Hand For Immediate Delivery thread and see what happens.

Hey John - You put your knife out there and asked the bushcrafters what they thought, and they replied with what they are looking for in a knife.

Of course people's tastes will be different, but in general they wanted a little taller knife and just a smidge shorter, with the scandi grind if I gathered correctly.

Just voice of the customer, maybe make a knife like that an see if people put their money where their "VOC" is.

Mention that you will make the knife custom to order for anyone who has something in mind.

I like the two-sided knife - that is cool, actually.

I actually like the idea of a 4" blade, but to go to a taller blade would make it similar to The Tool and Rule #9.

IMO...this is a typical example of a "Scandi" knife these guys are talking about. I see many variations of this style knife on Instagram. A lot of these tend to have a straighter spine with a slight drop.
I have an idea for one I've been playing around in my head based on Instagram photos I've seen. Wanna get it on paper and see what you think.

I'm planning on changing the blade length to 4", and for knives with standard handle materials the price, with no sheath, will be $150 plus $8 shipping. Hoping to get some orders for these soon.

I think that will be a good seller for you John. I personally like the little longer blade but I'm going through my gun/reloading phase so haven't been buying many knives right now. for that price range though I think you should probably get some orders.

I've decided not to offer this model, I have similar size knives in my line already. I will be offering the remaining knife later this week at a discounted price.
