Friends,
I am all for pooling resources. So I would like to continue the conversation about stoves or just equipment in general. If there is a simple way I can help out and it doesn't end up getting crazy I wouldn't mind using my family's outfitters store to facilitate us going in on some equipment. If there are some choice pieces of kit that we could buy together and save money that would be great. For instance the solo stoves I can get for like $40 when they retail for $70 or so but I have to buy 5 of them at a time. I don't think they would sell fast enough in our store to justify buying 5 just so I could have one. Or if a few people want the Emberlit stoves I just sent a request for dealership with them.

Just an idea... I would keep it totally straight forward with you all here. Most people in Fiddleback land seem pretty great. I would simply pass on the wholesale cost plus actual shipping. Let me know if you have any thoughts I am looking for a good light simple stove at least.

Shane

I'm definitely interested in the Emberlit stoves. Did you order the stainless or the titanium? Actually...anyone have any experience with the titanium one?? I'm interested to see how they hold up after several burns.

I have a stainless Emberlit but I would definitely be interested in a titanium one. The stainless one has held up really well after using it for a few seasons so far. I feel like the weight savings on the titanium would be worth it for me. One of my camping buddies always drools over mine so I'm sure I can get him to take the stainless one.

Really generous of you to think of your Fiddleback bros!

I'd be down for a ti emberlit, or really any wood-burning solo stove.

I have the Ti version, and highly recommend it. I wrote up some info and posted some pics in the Fiddleback Use Pics thread, hopefully it helps you out.

Thanks Plue,

Any idea where in the pics thread you posted it? recently? That thing is 50 pages long now...

This is very generous of you. Put me down for an Emberlit titanium. Let me know next steps when you are ready to pull the trigger. Thanks again!

I'd love to try out an Emberlit. I received a Trangia for Christmas that I've been testing out. Would like to have a nice wood burning backpacking stove as well.

I'd be in for an Emberlit, if allowed of course. I'm not a Fiddleback owner yet, but hopefully I'll remedy that after Blade this year.

Awesome offer man -- I'd be interested in a ti one as well; give the ol' jet boil a break

This is one of those things that I didn't know I needed until I read a little more about it. Great offer, and I'm in for 1 Emberlit Ti.
Thanks for doing this.
Rich

I would be interested in 2 titaniums (larger sized model)! I would also be interested in the one you originally pictured, what was it?

Thanks, Will

I think you are referring to Vance's photos of the solo stove I need 5 of us to get those.

I haven't heard yet from Emberlit so I don't know there minimum order but so far it doesn't seem it would be an issue! I think we are up to 18 or so, so far.
