You know what the funny part is? If you had asked those same makers about blade steel, handle material, heat treat, or final finish, you would have probably came away with the same thoughts :)

You've convinced me to give it another try Kit! :) I'm ordering up a piece of glass filled Teflon today from MSC. I thought I'd try that type because according to the catalog it's a little stiffer and less compressible. Also, it has a bondable side to it so I have the option of epoxy if the piece needs to be cut.....I like an oversized bushing for maximum support.
