Bushpacker Pocket Kit

As the "new guy" I'd like to get on the board with my first JK knife and I'm thnking this might be it. I'd like to get an orange G-10, 5/32", scandi with thumb serrations, and, if possible, two solid SS pins and the lanyard tube. I also don't need the firesteel and would like your regular pocket sheath. Whatcha think?

With orange G10 and no firesteel, cost would still be $110 because of the G10. If still interested sened me an email for my records.

Over the last couple of days I've spoken with John about making my unique bushpack. It's going to be a orange G-10, 1/8", convex FFG with some dimpling, solid SS pins, and rounded edges on the handle. John has been so attentive and accomodating. Sorry guys. He's probably working on my knife and mine alone. Seriously, can't wait 'til August. I plan to make this my weekend, back pocket EDC. I've rendered it to the best of my abilities.

Hi jhakken -

I like it too!

The patterning in the handle - will those be drilled-indentations in the handle?

That will be cool - your rendering of the handles reminds me of a Wilkins grip somewhat.

Nice job!

best regards -

Hi mqqn,

Those are to be drilled indentations, and the inspiration was the Wilkin's Griptilian slab. I was careful not to look at it when I was coming up with my own pattern though. I didn't want to rip-off the design. I've since looked at it and am glad to report that my pattern is totally different. I just started playing around with the drawing features in MS Word and had a ball doing it. John has entertained all of my ideas, but that's all that they are. I've got my rendering of the knife but realize that John's making it and, ultimately, I want him to make the knife with my rendering as inspiration.

Jed

P.S. Thanks ski!
