I have not owned one of these and was curious about the handle. Comfortable? More to hold than a boss jack? Palm swell like a golf ball? Any issues when chopping? Thanks for your comment.

I find the handle to be comfortable (full disclosure, I haven't handled a Boss Jack), but a little on the narrow side in comparison to the size of the knife. I'm considering sending it in to have some liners installed once I have the funds available. The texture is very effective, allowing a good grip without being abrasive, and the swell is not extreme, definitely not golf ball-like. I will wear gloves the next time I take it out, as I did end up with a blister on the heel of my hand, but nothing serious. It has very good ergonomics, allowing you to transfer the maximum power from your swing into the intended target. Bottom line, it's a good un' ;o) I hope this helps!

I have owned both BWM and Boss Jack. The BWM handles are the best out of all I have owned (around 30 Busse/Kin), it is perfect. I wish I never sold mine, it only went because I have a CGFBM but again I should have kept it.
It chops great, battons awesome and is light. Hope this helps.

Great knife, nothing to not love about it. Probably my favorite big knife. Grip is very comfortable, and it chops really well.

I don't want to steal the thread, but as we are talking about the ergonomics and desirability of the BWM... Where is the balance point on the BWM?
I saw a review where the BWM was compared unfavorably to a B11 for chopping, but the review noted that while the B11 was lighter overall, it was more blade heavy. I actually prefer a more neutral balance (balance close to the first finger) as it increases overall usability at the price of some chopping power. How does the feel and balance point of the BWM compare to other knives in this size (B11, B10, other Battle Mistress styles etc.)?

As far as straight blade Busse/kin choppers, I have owned an FFBM, NMFBM, BWM, Dog Father and B11.

Best Choppers= NMFBM, FFBM (most likely because they are heaver choppers)
Lightest= B11, DF, then BWM (BWM has about 4 or 5 ounces on the B11/DF which are similar in weight
Best handle= this is prob more of a preference but Im res-c all the way. Between the Fusion and the BWM handle, I like BWM. The only disadvantage of the res-c in my opinion is the lighter weight. it reduces chopping performance a bit.

The BWM was my go to chopper until I got my B11. It is lighter but it outchops bigger heavier knives. It can clear brush and chop wood. The res-c combined with the lighter weight also make it way more comfortable for extended use, and it won't wear you out.

BWM balance point with heavier G10...

... compared to B11 balance point.

Only (non res-c) options that feel better (to me) than the BWM in hand is the Test Team KZ handle (super heavy though) or the forthcoming NMSHBM (a tad lighter).

I will say that the first batch of BWM's are among some of the toughest INFI I have beaten on. That pumpkin is the only blade that holds up as well as my FBM LE under tough love conditions. Funny, they are right next to each other in this pic for that matter too. :p

Nice pics. Now that I was fortunate to get a team gemini coming my way how about the handle. Bmw handle vs. sar handle vs. team gemini handle. I have owned neither of these models and I am interested in the differences.
