BRING IT! ;)

Of course we're gonna find out prices in a few hours... but I find the silence ominous...

That would be nice but based on SAR8 prices I doubt it.

That is what I think too.

That would be nice but based on SAR8 prices I doubt it.

Both of the SAR's have the nuclear meltdown treatment, which seems to kick the price up a notch. The main reason I passed on both of those is how crazy high their prices were. Knowing what it would cost for a satin SAR8, my NMSFNO and FSH, both 8 inch blades with much more steel in them, and both much better values in my eyes, were enough to keep me from picking up the SAR8.

This is a relatively simple knife design - no meltdown, no radical fancy stuff. I will eat my hat if it comes in at SAR8 style crazy pricing.

all the SAR8s have been either Satin or DC which is generally a $70-100 upgrade, so a CG SAR8 (if we ever see one) ought to be that much less, and the same goes (sort of) for a CG BWM (at least I'm thinking so...). like, a Satin or DC SAR8 may be similarly priced to a CG Bushwacker (where the Satim/DC option on the SAR8 is being traded for some length on the Mistress). Doesn't that sound about right? Dunno, but we'll see soon. ;)

Put some mustard on that hat MM (pun absolutely intended) because I think at least the LE prices will be at SAR8 prices or higher regardless of meltdown treatment. The Bushwacker is obviously a bigger blade.

You see I am saying this to prepare myself for the worst. I hope I am dead wrong and the LE is a lot cheaper but, as my dad always said, "prepare for the worst and hope for the best."

Notice I said SAR 8 STYLE crazy prices - as in, scale up the price of the SAR 8 to a 10" blade...

People using the SAR8 as a model for what the bushwhacker is gonna cost are in lala land IMHO.

I am still saying it will be right around $400 for the Base CG + or - $15

The TB is still up on the main page and only 2 hours and 45 mins to BWM time. :D

I wonder what the Vegas odds are on what the prices are going to be? ;)

Look at it this way, the TB Base was $287.

287/11.5 = 24.95

Add 4 inches of INFI at about $25 and inch (That's what they run usually) and you get $387 for the base. :D

It's Logical anyway. :D

I don't think we are using the SAR8 as a model but merely an example.

The SAR8 LE price was the exact same price as the NMSFNOLE price at release. There have been no recent Battle Mistress LE prices below SAR8 LE prices. Therefor it stands to reason that the Bushwacker LE will be more than the SAR8 LE. Probably in the range of the FBM LE which originally sold at $697.

The only people in lala land are the ones hoping the Bushwacker LE will come in at a price lower than the SAR8 LE.

The CG might be a different story but based on the FBM CG it will probably run in the range of $387 and up.

Well I don't care about LE prices AT ALL, so they could charge two kidneys and a fatted calf and it wouldn't affect me :D

I only used the LE prices to establish common ground since the SAR8 SE are a beast in and of themselves. If the LE prices are equivalent to FBM LE prices then the CG prices should follow that same pattern.

I hope you are right though MM. I would love a reasonably priced Mistress to really put a beating to.

it (the LE) looks thicker which I'd pass on regardless of price. If I wanted a fat one I'd get a FFBM.

I can't wait for this thinner Mistress, my very own budget LE (stripped CG).
