Bushwacker... the perfect big Busse?

http://www.hogcult.com/page12/

its says that the CGIA is 10 inches and .187....theres no way it weighs 9 oz!!!!

Yeah that number sounded pretty bogus to me too.

But still, that one looks pretty awesome. Only thing is, it has a swedge. The other big, thin Busse I really like is the ZT BM-e, which also has a swedge. Lack of swedge is why the BWBM edges them out in my eyes.

Now a BWBM with the ergo handle.... hubba hubba :D

I am not a scientist, but I play one on knife reviews. My atomic calibrated Sunbeam scale reads about 22 to 23 oz for the BW.

He will probably satin it before posting anything, he is like that... (and does an excellent job at it too).

The BWBM is so thin, I'd be afraid to sand it to a satin finish... it might disappear right before my eyes

Seriously, the reason I ordered one, is that I fully expect it to be my favorite of the BM's. I had a CG that Ban had smoothed, satined and convexed that was pretty awesome, and I think this one will be similar in weight.

I'll have to weigh it and let you know. ;)

I am apparently behind the times, because I still think the CGIA (Combat Grade Internal Affair) would be the perfect large Busse. With a 10 inch blade, and total weight of 9.5 ounces, it would do the trick for me very nicely.

Thats a sexy blade,,,:)

The only thing I find better about the NMSFNO is the more comfortable hand-shaped micarta handles, and the lack of the severe downward curve at the rear talon holes, which gives the classic Busse Pinky when chopping. For the extra length and essentially no weight penalty, I will GLADLY take that trade-off.

I haven't used the Bushwacker, but my impression is that I'd rather have a handle that provides a more comfortable grip with no hot spots and no mashed pinkie, than another 2 inches of blade length, and some more chopping power.

The BWBM handle has no hotspots in my hand either, and the Busse pinky is nowhere near as pronounced as it is on the Fusion handles. The BWBM handle feels more secure in hand, too, while the NMSFNO feels like it would be easier to lose the grip while fatigued.
