Bushwacking in the Australian bush - pic heavy

Great stuff mate... did an preparatory walk with my large pack in a local reserve over the weekend...I just didn't pull the camera out. I met a few other walkers along the way but only one actually looked at what was on my back and said "what the hell" though the looks came from many others.

Wow, gorgeous pics! What a cool hike, how far is that from where you live?

I live on top of a hill and from where I'm sitting right now, drinking my morning coffee, I can see the top of the gorge approximately where the photo was taken. So not too far.

I'm sure you blended in better than when you're on a trail bike with a rifle on the front and a pig on the back. :D

.... very true..... ;) But I would LOVE to take the Zombie Express from a ride through there so equipped ... :D :D

..I hate thorns, prickles and that long, sharp (cutting?) grass.

Where I am, that awful mess is called it saw grass. You guys might have a different plant that serves the same purpose though (make men cuss!).
I concur-- that stuff is unpleasant, to say the least!
