Bushwalk with Murray and ASH1 - PIC HEAVY

Went on a short hike today with my boy Murray and my ASH1 to Kureelpa Falls, about 45mins walk through the bush from my home. Enjoy...

View from my front yard. Those trees in the distance are where we're headed...

"Hurry up dad! Sheesh!"

The start of one of the many trails through the state forest...

The fire trail were going to follow down the hill...

We come to the stream a few hundred metres from the top of the falls...

The water is a bit murky from all the rain we've had recently...

We pop out of the bush a bit further down at the top of the falls. Not as much water flowing as I thought...

Looking across the little gorge. You wouldn't know it, but there's about a 50 metre drop righ in front of us...

Looking down the falls. They are actually a lot steeper that it looks in this shot...

My attempt at trying to get myself in the shot...

Time to head home...

We meet Buster the mastiff on the way home. Murray doesn't like Buster very much...

Walking back along the road home, I noticed our shadows looked kinda cool...

Great pics. I haven't been able to teach my dog to use a camera either. So I indicate my presence with shadows and reflections. Your in-hand self portrait worked out pretty well. I'll have to give that a try.
