Whats you favorite multi-tool for outdoor/camping use and why? Looking to carry one as a companion to my Busse's and kin's.

Although it doesn't have the largest number of tools on it , I carry a Leatherman Skeletool because of it's lighter weight .

I carry the Leatherman MUT .. It has less stuff on it than most multitools but the stuff that is there is sturdy and useful..

Bought a Leatherman Charge Ti ( same as the regular Charge but with a s30v blade) a few months ago, don't know how I got along without one now, highly recommend it

I carry one of those Gerbers where the pliers slide in and out.

Yeah the skeletool is a good multitool , it looks cool too .. I carry one when i go fishing

I've been carrying the same Leatherman Surge for 5-6 years now.

I use it at least twice a day where ever I am. If I'm working on something 10, 20, or 30+ times is not uncommon. I've used it to build entire projects!

If I don't have my Leatherman on my hip I'm either at work (highly secured facility) or I'm sleeping/showering.

I'm a big fan of the Leatherman Wave. It fits nicely in the Spec Ops front pouch with a couple little pieces of fat wood and and ferro rod and striker.

I've had a Charge Ti for a few years now, and it's great. With a full bit kit, there's not much it won't do, not that you'd need the bits for outdoorsy stuff, but it's handy for fixing an ATV or small mechanical stuff. I do wish it had replaceable wire cutters like the MUT though.

an american made schrade tough tool. it goes in my pocket before any thing else. as a plus when they wear a little you can flip them like a bali.

If you have a Busse, do you need a multi-tool?

True. Buuuut, I can't seem to get a grip on those nuts and bolts with my ASH1. I keep slipping and cutting a finger off. Down to just the pinky on my left hand. Ok, one more try.......

If it has to be a plier type multi-tool I'll pick my Vic Swiss Spirit !

The victorinox Multi tools are very well made and smooth operating compared to the gerber or leathermans I have used.
