BUSSE Argonne

This Busse knife has never appealed to me since day one.
I could find no use for stabbing things while working outdoors on the trail. Don't want my camper running away screaming about a lady using her Busse Argonne knife to open a can with, one stab at a time.

If I had the extra loot, I would grab one or more.

It is not a practical blade for anything other than battle, it seems..so to debate its usefulness for anything other.. seems funny, no disrespect intended. Cool to fondle..great on the wall or behind glass...campsite bragging rights and just to wreak havoc on shit...but as a user?..campsite/woods tool..?

Thing seems made to dismantle.. and to render things ......things that move toward you....motionless.

I could be be wrong..this thread needs pics..maybe it could be useful...lol,,

Man, I want one now..

Has anyone customized one into a D-ring...removing all of the finger loops but the outside(s). I did see one w/ ...the 2nd, 3rd..? finger things removed...any w/ all?

You do have a point. Just for me, I grew up in a life of practical purposes. It's harder for me to see things in a materialistic way.

The light brigade treatment goes out into the finger grooves a bit. But I know Breavis' has cut out a bar near the bottom.

Here is mine stripped with some home made bruiser scales.

I think that this knife was made to for Jerry's hand there for unless finding things to for your hand is difficult it's probably to big. I bought mine and just between the ring and pinky finger it hurt when strongly grasping the knife, it had to go. Now it's ready for any apocalypse that may come.

Thanks for the pic, Breavis..

Thing is cool...nice work on the scales. Looks great naked.

Thats it, I want one..tough to lay off the Custom Shop, Ring Fighter conversion, listed on the board.

$#@#$%! Must. Resist.

This makes me wonder if the Argonne knife wasn't selling very well thus they had a lot of spare blanks for a few years now and only recently are they starting to run out. Now they're able to phase them out finally?

Interesting that the Argonne is now marked "No Longer Available"
versus Sold Out....

Well dang it. I was planning on getting one when my overtime check came in. Oh well, there will be some that show up on the Exchange (hopefully) and I suppose at the shows.

Crow muderer, I have a smaller, medium glove sized hand and the AA fits my hand comfortably enough. My fingers are spread a bit more than normal...but nothing that would concern me. I would say grab one if you are able when they pop up (I am going to). If nothing else because it is a great take on a historical WWI knife. And if things ever turn bad you would have a great fighting knife.
