Busse Basic #3 blade length

Can anyone tell me what is Busse Basic #3 exact blade length?
Some online stores claim it is 3", some 3 3/8", and a German site as 9 cm. Equally overall length is claimed to be 7 7/8" or 8".

I don't have a Basic 3, so I can't measure it for you.:( Hopefully someone will reply with an exact measurement. However, some of the descrepancy may come from where the measurement is taken from. Some may measure actual cutting edge and others measure the entire "blade" length.

Someone with a Basic 3 want to give us a measurement? :D

Here are measurements from my Basic 3.

Entire length = 8-1/8" or ~20.7 cm.
Blade length = 3-11/16" or ~9.5 cm.
Cutting edge length = 2-9/16" or ~7.7 cm
Cutting edge measured along curve = 3-3/16" or ~8.5 cm.

English and metric measurements were done using separate rulers (rather than a math conversion) so they may not correspond exactly.

My Basic 3 is of recent vintage with the smaller handle and crinkle coating. If I am not mistaken I think that the early Basics all had the same size handles but that later versions have smaller handles on the 3 & 5. Hope this helps. Cheers! -Alan
