Busse Basics

Are the Busse Basics still around or have they been discontinued. I read somewhere they had been discontinued. I hope this was a false report.
 
When Jerry & company went through the modified INFI they had far more quickly than originally anticipated, they sought to order more only to find out that the difference in price between INFI and modified INFI had narrowed such where the Basics could no longer be produced at a price point that everyone had become accustomed to. So, unfortunately, the Basics line will be no more not because of Busse Combat Knife Company all of a sudden deciding that they do not want to sell affordably priced Nuclear Users, far from the truth, it was that the modified INFI went through the roof, almost to where INFI is priced.

There was a post by BCK Co. on the Busse Forum. I'll see if I can get the link so you can get the official version of what i just tried to say.
 
Any answers from Mr. Busse about making a basic line out of another steel, like A-2? I dont own any Busse's but from the rave reviews I keep reading, I cant call my collection complete w/o one.
 
I for one would really like to see a run of "Basics" out of an affordable yet servicable steel; maybe a carbon steel.
