Busse Basics

The basic 9 is an amazing knife that just feels right in the hand. I think it has to do with balance. Busse got it right with the basic 9.

Enough TALK WHERE are all the pictures of these sets/satins/and serrations!!!!!!

I don't have a Basic but I found this brochure in with my knife books.

Like my 2nd-gen B9 but the 1st-gen Basic-5 is probably teh sharpest factory blade I've ever gotten from Busse. Like WOW!

As the Basics are rolling in:D One of them raised a question. The B3 is well a 3 inch blade. The B7 errrr 7 inches and the B5 is 5.... well no it is 5.5 inches.

Is that B5 I got really a "5" or is it a "6"? In reading all the posts again I do see that papathud did say that the blade length varied. It seems that he is right yet again.

Just checked a smooth coat B-5 length is 5 3/8" handle to tip, looks like they're running around 5.5".

Remember when the shop changed how they spec'd blade length, they used to spec edge length, then it changed to blade from handle to tip.

nah, they're just 5.5"

Tony, if you come up with an extra user B9, throw it my way! :D

Hey, I got dibs on Tony's crumbs !

:D

The answer may be yes to both of you. But Jimmy is first. For a time now he and I have been searching the globe to retrieve Basic INFI that belongs here :D....

and then some that don't.

p.s. Jimmy check your email... another boat came in:thumbup:

Well a few have started to show up. I have been told that I'm driving up the price of the entire Basic line. Well the pressure will soon be off so better send me yours now!.... :D

Also the asymmetric edge is really the signature edge of Busse Combat.

I say that because as I was cutting up boxes I noticed that the lack of symmetry on the edge makes the knife slice all kinds of curvy lines… just like the knife itself is actually drunk.
