I've never seen, nor heard of a Busse bayonet. You could have the custom shop make you one, I'm sure. It'd cost you pretty penny though. Most bayonets are not in the Busse price/ quality range. With the exception of the recent Strider/ Kai bayonets- which will almost certainly never be issued.
A Busse bayonet would be cool- but it would kind of be like Louis Vuitton mudflaps. Sure, they'd be nice- but is there really much of a market for them?
Moon wilson i know this is unrelated but iv ebeen wanting to ask this for a few years but always kinda felt that this was a dumb question but i really want to know the answer... how does the busse custom shop work? ive always got the impression that they made whatever they wanted and we lapped up what we could get our grubby little mits (or in some cases hooves) on. Can i contact the custom shop and get a knife custom made? if so is there a number? is there a long wait time? im sorry to ask unrelated questions and to kinda hijack a thread but this has been bugging me for literally years.
thabnks for any response.
TGULB with an 8" spear point with fully sharpened false edge and a fighting geometry handle with field replaceable scales in case of breakage.I was thinking about this today…
I NEED A BUSSE BAYONET!
Some sort of Team Gemini variant with a bayonet guard!?
Or just have the actual guard of the knife removable. That way Busse could just offer bayonet guards with different sized holes for whatever fits your rifle. The knife guards could be made of non-infi steel too. The same could be done for the pommel/catch I would think?TGULB with an 8" spear point with fully sharpened false edge and a fighting geometry handle with field replaceable scales in case of breakage.
The hardest part about making a bayonet these days is likely the mounting options because there are so many military pattern rifles and thousands of muzzle devices. They could offer 4-5 different attachment options, M16-AR15, FAL, M14-M1A, AK, etc.
Very nice!
