Busse bayonet?

That Ontario looks like it was made by a child when put next to a Busse lol.

It's a heavy duty, real deal field tool and much like a Busse Bayonet would be, it's a novelty in a drawer for me. It would take literally zombies to bust it out. I can't imagine its performance as a camp utility knife would be too great but it is a made in the USA M9 bayonet for $120 when I bought it.

Hey man I understand. I own one too. I actually have a bunch of Ontarios and love them all. They are great tools for the money.

People have modded their own Busse into bayonets in the past. Evidence can be found with a forum search, though most of the old pictures don’t show anymore. I’ve considered doing so myself, but that project has been placed on the back burner. Here’s a mock-up of what I was thinking.

(Sorry for the recycled pic. In the middle of a move, so I can’t stage a fresh one right now.)

The only time we had a drill with the use of a bayonet was called "peace keeping". we had to control a crowd and a Fal rifle with 308 ammo is not the ideal weapon. Next step would be shooting.
A bayonet is a useless weapon, a Kabar is much better.. An M 16 is not the kind of rifle that is strong enough for real abuse.
