Busse Blades from BLADE'08... Plus a Dog & a Rat that followed me home!

So, I'm assuming when you went to Blade, you walked up to the Busse stand and said "I'll have all of those please".:)

Love that big Blade 08 Battle Mistress. Oh, and damn that's nice artwork on that tee too!;)

...And then some! :D ... Yep, getting more milage recently out of that T-shirt as a knife drop cloth, LOL, but it WILL get worn too... Frequently!

Chickenplucker

Thank you!

I've been looking at the limited FBMs but that bowie would be perfect for what I want in an all-in-one outdoors knife - excellent for chopping, prying and batoning. How do I go about picking one up?

these 2 are Custom Shop one-of-a-kind FBM variants that I bought at the BLADE convention in Atl. There are a few FBM prototypes that were ground similarly, but are of thicker stock.

I should warn you that these were not cheap by any stretch. You would have to hit every show that Busse attends and hope to get lucky enough to find another, or you'd have to place a custom order with Busse's Custom Shop for one... and prepare to wait. IF they are taking custom orders at this time, which I don't believe that they are but I might be wrong on that.

For chopping, batoning, and prying, I'd go with a regular FBM LE, or a Fat Flat Fusion Battle Mistress (FFFBM) or one of the Special Editions from either 2007, or this year. The Combat Grade FBM's with the Corrugations would be great too as they are lighter overall IIRC, but plenty tough. I'd say that the normal versions would be stronger at the tip.

That's if Garth ground another. I only saw 2 at BLADE. If another is on the Ganzaaa menu... Better beat me to it!! :D

Thanks for the tip, I'll try the custom shop but I don't think I'm ready to become a knifemaker groupie and follow the Busse crew around on tour just yet. ;)

Another great haul Jaxx!

Thanks for taking the time to post the pics:thumbup:
