Where are my historical busse experts? Just picked up a Busse Boss Street off of fleabay(Yeah, yeah I know). However, this knife is really really close to real maybe? Except it is Aluminum, or something else non metallic. Also it is unsharpened and i mean like a trainer unsharpened. The badging is a little off and on both sides, other than that (and non metal), it is right on. And i mean down to the cross hatching on the micarta, and the swirls in the coating. Fake? It's really, really good. What else am i not seeing?

Are you saying a magnet will not stick to it? As in, you've tested and confirmed? The thickness seems off, the CG Boss Street should have been .22" thick from what I recall though it's possible there were some which were other thickness.

Wow it has the BUSSE logo on both sides. Has to be fake unless it was requested that way from the custom shop. What does it weigh? I have a mint real one. Just weighed in at 8.7 oz.

Also I think you mean non-magnetic (not non-metallic). Aluminum, gold, silver, iron/steel are all metals. They are not all capable of interacting with a normal magnet. Only iron/steel will normally do that.

A magnet sticks to my BOSS.

All those metals have different weights. Even different knife steels are different weights. So the weight will tell us. :)

Custom trainer? Seems a stretch.

i didn't think that crinkle coat could be faked, atleast i've never seen it on another knife

Etch looks faker than shit, and it’s on both sides. That’s a red flag in my eyes. Non-metallic? I think you mean non-magnetic unless it’s plastic.

Here's the weight. Correct it is non magnetic? Here is the magnet holding up the Moabolo's wont touch this knife.

So it's like half the weight. Must be aluminum. If so you should be able to bend it in a vise.

Really sorry about that. Any recourse with the seller?

Yea that thing sure looks pretty real other than the logo on the back side. If you try Gravelface's suggestions and it still comes up light, it's fake fo sho.

Oh yeah. He listed it as Infi steel. Ebay will pay me back no problem. Its very intriguing tho. Not a high end Busse knife, why put in so much work to fake it? If the weight was close and it was sharp, i probably wouldnt have noticed until it was to late to get refunded.

Send it to Busse, let them make the final determination.

If it’s aluminum. It’ll deform drastically on......anything.

Guy is out of CA with 200/100% feedbacks. Kinda hard to get a thickness pic without angling the caliper. Jerry you out there?
