Busse Boss Street Fake?

Put it in a vise.. stick a pipe on the handle and crank. It'll let you know real quick if it's Jerry's work.

Unless it's a movie prop Jerry made of aluminum.. but I can't imagine he wouldn't just send an infi one on the house.
No he won’t.
That’s not how the warranty thing works.
Unless there are MOABOLO blanks gathering dust somewhere in the compound…

Wow it has the BUSSE logo on both sides. Has to be fake unless it was requested that way from the custom shop. What does it weigh? I have a mint real one. Just weighed in at 8.7 oz.
i have a busse that has logo on both sides and thicker than normal version.
I am told it was a movie prop and was unsharpened.
the double logo and unsharpened edge make sense for a movie prop.
Prev owner sent it to busse to get it sharpened.
I have not think of testing it with magnet though.
If this boss street is legit then it is a cool one off.

I think it's pretty cool/unique if it's a movie prop. The fact that it came from a seller in Cali adds weight to the theory.

Garth Reckner Garth Reckner would probably be able to confirm it.

Once we get to the bottom of it, it would probably be best to reach out to the seller and point out their mistake. Hopefully, it's an honest mistake and you can work out a proper price/refund.

If they refuse to work with you, take it to eBay/PayPal.

We'll, update here on the BS. Guy apologized profusely and agreed to refund me completely. We'll see. Also, he stated that he does work in the movie industry and it makes sense that it would be a prop. He said he never tried to sharpen it. That may have been interesting to attempt. I have never tried to sharpen Aluminum. I'll update when i get my $$$ back.

The logo font looked a little off too...but maybe thats because of the aluminum(?) substrate. Anyway, VERY interesting. I'm sure it would have some collector value as a movie prop to the Busse collector that has everything.

Yeah, sounds like an easy sale to someone like Jaxx, David, cpirtle, and a few others. I wonder what kinda value it would have 🤔

Not so easy. I personally would request provenance, i.e. what movie was it made for.
Not saying Jerry didn't make this out of Aluminum for movie prop purposes...assuming Jerry did at all, but... CSI- that was real SH-e getting blown up. Spring Breakers & The Watch- different but real Bushwhacker Mistresses, TWD- real Team Geminis, BOSCID dagger, etc., Dexter- real TG & BOSS Jack... (<-- Correction edit- I wrote BOSS St., caught my typo, it was a BJ)
I'd definitely check with Busse on this.

Understandably. I would definitely want to know what set it was on... if any
