Busse Bushcrafter?

Which Busse or Kin model, most closely meets your needs as a "Bushcrafter"?
I jumped into the Busse brands about seven years ago with the Scrapper 5 CG. I have since collected 54 variations out of 68 Busse and Kin that I currently possess. But none seem to be the ideal Bushcrafter. But then what do I know, I'm great at buying, but lousy at making time to practice the skills. The models that could do just fine could include the AMSMO, B4, Hog Muk, Scrap Muk, Pork Shank, RMD, Scrapmax, S5.
But none of them are Scandi grind (is that important?) with a bow drill divot and ferro notch. I know I'm just rationalizing the "need" to buy another knife. But I've started to look at non Busse, and that just seems weird.
So, what would you consider to be your Busse or Kin Bushcrafter? Or did you try another brand ?

I had a CABS LE and MUCK LE pair that were nice.

The SarSquatch I had was a good medium largish one two.

I've often wondered this too. I've used my CFSOB, INFIDU and Mudd Mutt in the past. I've messed around with a couple of Boss Jacks too but never really had them out in the woods. I definitely need to up my small Busse game. :)

I have thought about drill divots and ferro striker and I think if you want this stuff on a Busse you will have to mod it. I think it should be pretty easy since most Busse knives have a lot of extra metal on the exposed tangs. I think I'm going to mod my BE2 with these additions, while adding a larger choil. As long as I don't try to round the edges of the choil after grinding it should work great for a ferro striker. A bit of rounding out around one of the center fastener holes should do the trick for a drill. There are other manufactures that add these things so you don't have to mod your knives but usually the only way to get exactly what you want is to customize something.

I've used the CGSOB for splitting kindling, making feather sticks, and even used the tiny choil to throw sparks of a ferro rod (the SOB is stripped)--it worked out really well. It's a very good all-arounder, though I prefer my skinny ASH1 these days (also stripped)... it does all of the above, and chops much better. I've used my Hellrazor in this capacity as well--when I did, I drew a crowd of fellow Cub Scout parents... we were out camping for a few days and I got my Emberlit ti stove going/ burning--they looked at me like I was a sorcerer.

CABS is my go to. Think the B4 would do nicely. MS AD RMD etc all could get the job done

Dan has a great idea <IMHO> about the center tube for bow drill socket...

Also, spot on about the ferro striker...

I've heard INFI will throw a spark...but I KNOW sr101 will spark

all the suggestions so far are great!

I'd go with my modded MSe-- amazing how many things it checks off on Dan's post above...

And pair it with a nice, light, comfy and amazingly packable 1311...

Between the two you have most of your bases covered from carving, skinning, machete, baton/splitting, draw knifing, stand off weapon, spear point, plus all the other things that you requested...

here's my modded MSe, my 1311 is factory...

+1 SOB
And for those who like on the smaller side id say SOS LE (Still needs some use experience )

I love my SOB, and I just got an InfiDu that I like a lot too but the more I play with my BG Boss Jack the more I think it will be my first choice on my next camping trip. It's a very nimble knife and the little extra blade length would be nice when batoning.

I would use an ASH-1 any day of the week in bushcraft. I convex edged mine and wouldn't think twice about it being an all round bushcraft blade.

I don't care much for scandigrinds. Would rather have a nice convex any day.
So a scandigrind is by no means a must on a Bushcraft style knife.

My Vex and my Rodent Trail are the ones I use the most for bushcrafty stuff, eventhough they at two very different knives.

As for a bowdrill pivot, is simply use the holes in the handle as they are. Works fine!

I use my Infidu and Ratmandu a lot for splitting wood.
I heard that the CABS works really good but I don't own one.

And if the hatchet is too boring, I just bring the mistress instead!

I wish I had a choilless or small choil anorexic boss jack with full convex grind to replace my ESEE-6 ;)

Good input gentlemen. Will have to try the handle divot for the bow drill. I suppose G10 would be more durable than micarta. The CFSOB has been a favorite in the woods, maybe I can square up the choil a bit.

When using the divot as pivot, som heat is generated in the tube.
A glove or simply a bit of moss takes care of that.

Dog Skinner or Bog Dog (original Mudder handle!) would probably the closest to the purist bushcrafter's blade shape and size.
Drop point RMD wil do the trick as well.

'Bushcraft' happened on all continents for a long while... and only in a very small part of one of the smallest of those continents scandi grind was dominant grind until, what? this century came about and internet began shaping people's opinions...
