Thanks for the vivid reminder of my youth.

I grew up in the old central valley, the San Joaquin, but spent time in the wild north.

Great pix. We got back from a few days in the White Mountains (hills to you westerners) yesterday.

Took my new "user" FSH and my HRLM. The HRLM made a great food-stuffs knife. FSH did good of making kindling out of the too-fat fatwood. It also make fast work of a watermelon.

Note to self: sustained time in watermelon juice WILL stain a stripped INFI blade.

No pix - I feel silly taking outdoor knife shots.
