I need help with proper care of several Busse's that I have collected recently. I currently use Tuff Cloth on the blade and I'm wondering if that is sufficient or is there a better/ recommended product? Does the chemicals in the Tuff Cloth have an adverse effect on the micarta? What should be used to maintain the micarta? And last but not least ( and most difficult ) What is the Busse recommended products for maintaining the correct edge. ie. Exactly what sharpening device, what strop, what do you use to load the strop, and any other recommended care info including Manufacturer and where to get it. I'd prefer and suggest a video training demo, professionally done or not just to get the point across. I'd hate to ruin the value by incorrectly taking care of these bad boys. Any help would be greatly appreciated.... Rand

Tuf-cloth is a great product, and i would say easily sufficent for the blade. I don't think micarta needs alot of care, just keep it clean, etc. The tuf cloth coating i put on Andy's Mean Street doesn't seem to have had any adverse affects where i accidently brushed the micarta.

There has been quite a few discussions about sharpening busse's, do a search here and you'll find most of them.

Just out of curiosity, what models do you have?

All thanks to Jerry Busse, Andy "The Man" Prisco and other wonderful forumites. Still adding. Wanting the Battle Mistress, Andy's thrower and Bolo, and the folder, etc., etc. It's an illness and I'm not cured...
