Busse Combat Blades On CSI Tonight!!! CONTEST!!!!

I don't think the knife shown going into the ribs was a Busse but I'm going to check the tape when I have a chance. It looked like a armor piercing tip on that one, the other in the box was definitely an ergo but I think it was still coated wasn't it?

Yup, coated. I dunno about the BM or the SH. Did they ever come with the diamond quilt? Tan diamond quilt? I think Bill had something about the NO, but with polished spine.

The knife in the box that Grissom finds is a coated E-series with polished spine and quilted micarta. (Can't tell if it's black or tan with the lighting from the flashlight) Could be a BM, SH or NO, but they don't show the full lenght. The strange thing is the pictures that Grissom takes show a different knife in the box. It looks like a knock-off survival knife with a half hilt and ovoid buttplate w/ lanyard hole.Edited to add that there was a second pic that Grissom took that is quite dark but looks like it is the Busse that he reached for later. I don't know where thay got the second box of knives. Grissom only speaks of one box, so that's a mystery. Definately not the Busse that Grissom reached for after taking the picture. Where's the continuity, I ask you?
And the knife in the flashback stabbing had a satin finished, sharpened clip point blade with a handle that looked ala Buck, to me. So it wasn't the other Busse.

It sure surprised me to see as Busse on CSI; but then again, Jerry was in town last Feb. when they were probably getting ready to film this episode. INFItely Cool! :cool:

I'm pretty sure the one that was in the 1st "box" pic, and the one in the "accident" flashback was a satin/matte Kabar.

Don't think the whole Busse was ever shown.

I just went back and checked the tape. I agree with you THG. Kabar.
 
the only thing Im sure of is that the only Busse I saw was the knife next to the fridge full of "liquid explosives". I only got a quick glance and just at the canvas micarta scales but it looked a good bit smaller than an NO to me.

First knife sceen.

Slow motion stabing going into ribs & into body could be a ZTBM but kinda looks like a kabar

second knife sceen.

E- Handle in the box by the fridge for sure black polished spine maybe a SH or BM.

third knife sceen.

pictures of "knife box" shows a next generation kabar silver pomel & guard & black handles.

forth knife sceen.

The sceen were the other kid falls on knife looks like a kabar also.

So it looks like Busse only made it in one sceen nice clear shot though.

I wonder if Papathud sold it to the prop master?
 
It appeared to have tan, quilted, micarta slabs, an E handle, and a black coating. They never showed the blade of that knife. I'm guessing it was a Battle Mistress.

Grissom...HOW DARE YOU USE PIGLETS TO TEST YOUR THEORY!!!!! USE A GERBIL OR SOMETHING... THOSE WERE PIGLETS.... probably on there way to the trough... i am thouroghly disgusted and will be writing my congressman...(kidding)

Did anybody else think about what deadly shrapnel a box of knives would be?

Grissom definitely should have gone back and found the knife. Chances are that it was not severely damaged, but if it was, he could have invoked the Busse warranty!
 
YOu know, I half expected them to find the knife intat and stuck in a tree or car, thne making remarks about "How could a knife survive a blast like that" to which Grissom would say "It's a Busse"........

This is funny, when they said they were going to detonate the explosives in the fridge I told my wife, don't worry the Busse will survive the explosion ;):D:D
