The gladius is beautiful! Hopefully it will be in future ganzaa cuz I don't know who to ask for proxy.

1) Since I saw the "jerkit" smilie in the panel to the right, I assumed it was ok to use it. Since it sounds like it may be an infraction, I removed it and changed my posting.

2) I've read all kinds of prices for the Gladius, so I have no idea of who to believe.

3) I never stated nor inferred that you were buying one to flip. Don't know where you got that from.

4) I did not state that Busse staff ask for false prices to be promulgated. I DID surmise that the staff might have asked folks not to post prices. I'm sure they would never ask folks to post innacurate prices, though.

5) As for being a Busse newbie, well yes, I sort of am. I do own 5 Busses, though, so I guess I'm not totally in the dark. I admit that I haven't been to a Busse show yet, so I have no idea of how these things are sold there, at what discounts, and to whom. I tried to make arrangements to go to this show, but I couldn't afford it. I bought my last two Busses at the last KC Ganzaaaa.
 
a. read the stickies in this forum, they cover many things - like the banned jerk-it and other useful info.

b. there's no conspiracy with respect to show prices, just lots of guesses and joking, but the facts always come out.

c. I can tell you from experience, ones attitude matters more than the # of blades they own.

d. tone it down a bit...

e. welcome. lots of nice people here.

Hell, for a matched set of those satins, a couple of basic 11's and killa Z's and I would trade my wife in, and I love her to pieces.
 
I have not been on line for about two weeks (family health issues) and now I am seeing this amazing sword for the first time. I want to get one or two, go back in time, and kick some gladiator ass with my new gladius bussiatus:thumbup:
 
Dammit! I suggested a Swamp Rat Gladius. Why oh why didn't I suggest a Busse Gladius for the contest to win a knife?!? I need to get one regardless.

Beat ya to it. ;)

A gladius by SRKW, SY, or Busse would all be excellent! They all three make amazing blades. I looove my waki and have had some fun with it for sure. I may or may not get the scrapizashi, and the gladius honestly is out of my price range albeit amazing and beautiful.

Now that you have a couple.. Where is the balance point, and how lively does it feel in the hand? You lucky ducky.. Thank the lord I made my own gladius style sword, because I dont live in USA so I cant travel to blade
