Busse combat in combat ?

Here is one on my cousin's vest. Riding in the .50 turret on patrol. It was donated, including the custom sheath by Buy Brown. The good hogs here, and the kind folks at the shop got it to him in time for deployment. It came have well used, and missing a goodly amount of finish!

Forgot to add the model. No choil Boss Jack.

Here is a pic of me with my EURO 4 on my last deployment :) 2001 . For my last 10 years in the Army I carried a Busse Natural Outlaw. I still have both knives and will never part with them, they are both well used and much loved.

Thats awesome ! thanks for posting and thanks for your service!

The new Fudge or Grudge would be a great candidate as well.

I picked up a Weiner Dog for my carrier. Nice, light, compact and sharp.

I think the Boss Jack LE would be a great all around useful Busse to carry. The Combat Grade could be good too, but I remember it being really thick behind the edge and would probably benefit from some serious edge reprofiling or even a regrind to get more desirable cutting performance out of it (to go with the bomb-proof toughness)

These would be my choice, Definitely the Grudge if one was going to be doing a lot of Walking, (Infantry, special forces etc.) the Fudge for Mechanized units where weight was not a concern, Don't believe you could destroy the Fudge if you wanted to!!!

Id love to get a boss jack, haven't had much luck in finding one yet.

A couple of boss jacks sold off the exchange, went pretty quickly. What about a battle grade boss jack ? Pretty sweet blade at a great price

A Bossjack in BG or infi is a great choice. But I would really consider a SY 511 or scrapper 5. Perfect size blade and the Res-c handles make a much lighter knife. Ounces will add up fast with all your gear. And the blade length is adequate if it was needed in the unlikely self defense role. Even a war dog would be nice. The Rat Man Du is a safe bet too if weight is not a concern. The Ratwieler is a great knife but not practical at all for military. There is so many great knives to choose from from Busse and Kin. But I would defiantly take a Res-c handled knife in any 5" and bigger blade.

completely agree with you.

A great option would be a swamp rat coot or infi coot. Or the similar street scrapper 4. Very stabby and light and thick blade stock for toughness. That or like I said a scrapper 5 or 511 or war dog would be my personal choices. Or a gen 1 howling rat. Good luck on your choices and upcoming services.

+1 on the bandicoot. If my unit was activated that is my pick...or my Winkler Belt Knife. I just got a SOS and would feel fine with that as well.
