Is it really true that the BM went through 1/2 inch of steel without any defomation to the blade? And is it really true that it held 32,000 lbs without breaking? That's about 8 big cars! I just can't picture any knife being able to do this. I really want to get one of Busse's knives even if they don't do what their adds claim. I was just wondering if it is really true because I find it hard to believe. Maybe I'm just ignorant. Can anybody with better knowledge enlighten me on this? thanks..

Please post it! Don't worry about copyright ... the last thing any advertiser would do would be to complain if his ad gets posted without him having to pay for it....

I have never dreamed our esteemed leader (MT) was a lawyer! OK, I have never dreamed about him at all.

However, I think you should take the "never profit from it, ergo no copyright infringement" with a grain of salt... It is simply incorrect as to the law. If you want to check, try adding R US to something. If Danny R. ever gets noticed by the toy Nazis he will have some really interesting visitors with good suits and expensive briefcases....

On the other hand, posting a scan of an ad in a discussion group in which such published items are routinely discussed would be VERY unlikely to be viewed as a copyright infringement... I'd make sure and post the appropriate reference.

I never noticed before the angle between the handle and the blade on the Basic. Does the Battle Mistress have the same slope?
