What is that second one?

The Killer Bee was one that was originally made with a cord wrap. I have one, but a prior owner had carbon fiber handles put on it and now--it is one sweet Killer Bee.

Hey, cool stuff! I haven't done any cord wraps recently. Here are a couple old ones from my photos:

Some of the Busse Pure Bred Fighters came with cord wrapped handles. They're the only Busses I know of that came from the factory cord wrapped.

The second pic is a custom from the shop. It was custom ordered as shown with the cord wrap

WHat is this?

I have an ABA that came with cord wrapped handles and camo coating., but cant find a pic.

I'll be honest, when I see most of the types of cordwraps on here I go :barf: having tried them myself. I had a strider factor wrap shift on me on the very first stab into wood, so I re wrapped it using a vise and pliers in the same wrap pattern. shifted the first stab. Every single wrap style I've tried was the same story: there isn't enough support provided by the surrounding paracord to keep the wrap in a stable position under heavy up or down force. maybe a true japanese wrap is better, but that also doesn't use paracord.

not a busse, but a busse kin :)

in it's finished form it wasn't possible to get the cord to shift by hand. you couldn't even get it to shift with a pair of pliers or a screwdriver: you'd end up cutting the cord before it moved noticeably in any direction. The only wrap I'm willing to have on any knife I own at this point is a turks head knot, or a variation of it. anything less (in my crazy logic) is dangerous.

Eric, yes, you're right. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a lot of customs with cord wraps. I was referring to production knives. That was kind of implied in the word "factory", but not clearly enough.

Also, there might have been other production models with cord wraps – but I'm not yet aware of them.

Cool knife, by the way ... you bully. :)
