My wife of 35 years not only tolerates my knife hobby, but encourages it.

Hmmmm.....Maybe that's why we have made it for 35 years.

My wife doesn't understand why I need more than one knife so after about the first hundred knives she quit making remarks. I don't question her when she buys a three dollar teacup on ebay and pays ten dollars shipping.
 
I can buy all the knives, guns, etc that I want, as long as I tell the wife AND it fits in the budget..

As a matter of fact, she's PUSHING me to by a Busse this weekend at the Blade West Show!

I love having a wife who shoots and hunts!
 
i feel your pain... my wife isnt always happy with my knife collecting, for the time being anyway, we are moving out of state. once we get settled though, i am working on the collection! so many things i want!!!

I have an understanding wife.

She calls them Beaucy knifes. :D

Twenty years for us last July.
 
I have learned not to involve my girlfriend with any of my hobbies. She got pissed when I bought a 69 camaro, then she got pissed when I sold it. She hated that I like guns, and now insists that she needs one too. So I figured that since she hates my knives it would only be some time 'till she came around like she always does but it's been two years and she STILL hates my knives. Too unpredictable. So I just have 'em shipped to work and leave well enough alone.
 
hmmm.... my wife supports my habbits, keeps me at home and away from the girls.... maybe you guys should take that approach
 
Ink and Knives. My true loves after my family. My wife knows that I work hard to take care of our family, and I only indulge in the others if we can swing it. She's supportive and is thankful that as I've gotten older, I have found things to keep me out of trouble.
She DOES find it odd that I talk about most of you on here like close friends/drinking buddies.:rolleyes:
 
I got 'nads and a wife that appreciates the Busse/Swamp family. As long as bills get paid, I buy what I want (knives, guns, cigars, pipes, etc....)
 
A woman I know once told me, "Only a parent can know true happiness, but by then it is too late."

That can be modified to, "Only a married guy can know true happiness, but by then it is going to be expensive to go back."

(Actually being married was good; being single again is good too and has been very fun, so it has been good all around. I recommend both. :thumbup: )
 
seems like as long as i can still pay rent and buy food, my girl's ok with it. Since i got her a Swamp Rat she hasn't complained, though... I feel so bad for guys or girls that catch hell from their partner because they don't understand bladeophelia or whatever you call it...

My gf loves knives too... so I guess I'm lucky with that! But she does think I'm glued to my computer a little too much! :eek:

Speaking of which... How's the ole' wife? It seems like I haven't seen her... fer... errr... ever :D ;)

I got no one to talk too in real life, so you guys are my friends/family. Sad to some, but works for me. If I don't want to talk to you guys, I just turn off the computer.:thumbup: :D

That is only going to work for a little while longer. . . . . The INFI chip we planted in your skull at BLADE 2 years ago will be activated very soon. . . .then its all AMY-0 all the time!!!!!:eek: :D
