A pair of Busses and Rats for your consideration....
The first person to post I'll take it without contingencies and a follow up e-mail will receive purchasing priority.
Please ask any questions prior to making a purchase commitment. My top priority is a hassle free transaction. I'll be more than happy to provide additional / higher resolution photos and discuss questions via PM, e-mail, or over the phone. I've done my best to accurately describe the condition of the knives I'm offering for sale, but there's always the issue of process variation and manufacturing tolerances inherent to this type of product so please inquire if there are issues of particular importance to you.
I will accept payment via USPS Money Order, or PayPal ("Purchase" type only, I will not accept PayPal Gift) with a confirmed address per the pricing listed. That being said, please be aware that if you have less then 5 positives as a buyer on itrader (or any negatives) I will prefer a US postal money order. I will ship via USPS w/signature confirmation and provide insurance to CONUS only.
I'm not interested in any trades at this time.
I reserve the right to not do business with any individual without explanation. All sales are as is, where is and without warranty (except as provided by the manufacturer). All sales are final. By purchasing this item you are stating that you are 18 years of age or older and abiding by all local, state and federal laws concerning the purchase, transportation and possession of this item.
Busse Custom Shop Anniversary Steel Heart 1 (ASH1): Magnum Sage / Tan Hand Shaped G-10 Handle, Satin Blade that came unmarked (sterile) from the factory. This knife is new as received from the factory. It's not been used, sharpened, or inserted in a sheath. This knife originally sold for $627 plus shipping. I'm offering it for less then the factory price shipped to your door. $575 USPS MO / $595 PayPal SOLD
Busse Mud Razor: Tan canvas micarta handle, night op brown coating. I purchased this knife from a fellow forum member in new, unused condition. I believe this description was accurate. The knife is still in new condition, it hasn't been used, sharpened, or inserted in a sheath. This knife has the same basic specifications as the Hell Razor: .1875 thick blade stock, 6.75 blade length, and an OAL of 12.5.
Here's what Jerry had to say about this knife on July 6, 2006: Before there was a Hell Razor. . . there was a special military run of these killer blades. . . We call it the Desert Mud Razor!!!!.... There aren't many of this one-time-only offering. They will be offered during this weekend's Microscopic Extravaganzaaaaaa!!!!.... No corrugations on this one. . . and a very unique night op brown coating coupled with a desert tan canvas micarta handle . . . Think of it as a down and dirty Hell Razor with attitude!!! On July 31, 2006 Jerry posted some additional information on this knife and the ST-56: Having checked back on my original posts on both of these knives, I noticed that I failed to mention one of the coolest and most unique features to be found on any Busse Combat blade!!!! The handles on both of these special models are asymmetric!!! The right side handle has a regular palm swell while the left side is more of an even arc from blade to skull crusher. Both sides are textured the exact same way and this feature is only visible when looking at the handle from the top of the spine. This design element allows for a much quicker and very secure purchase of the knife when switching to reverse grip mode in the heat of a hand-to-hand combative situation. You will not believe how good these handles feel and how much improved the grip is in the reverse mode due to more of the handle grooves being in contact with the palm. It is just one more unique feature of these wicked military overruns that gives the collector a brief insight into the mission specific nature and highly detailed design of these rare blades. Congrats to those who scored!!! $450 USPS MO / $465 PayPal SOLD
Swamp Rat Knife Works Battle Rat: I purchased this knife in 2006 from a fellow forum member who described the knife as follows: I bought this back a couple of years ago, but haven't used it in quite some time. I'm a fan of the larger knives, so I've got a few to choose from when I head out with a blade in hand. I recently got it sharpened back up to a fine working edge.... courtesy of our own Michael Burch. (http://www.burchtreeblades.com). The knife is used, but not abused at all. She's done some light chopping, and the finish is smoothed out a bit in that sweet spot they all have. You can refer to the photos below to see the condition of the finish. The resoprine C handle is in excellent condition, and if you've ever held one of these, I don't have to tell you how comfy it is. I'm also including the craptastic nylon sheath they came with new. It's in perfectly servicable shape, but isn't brand new. The knife is in the same condition I purchased it in. This knife is differentially heat treated and a Swamp Rat classic. $230 USPS MO / $238 PayPa SOLDl
Swamp Rat Knife Works Howling Fat: This knife was a Howling Rat on Steroids special that was released and sold out rapidly in August 2005. In response to a question on additional Howling Fats being offered, Eric Isaacson posted this on the forum in September 2006 The Howling Fat was a special run that will not be offered again. The knife has a 9 OAL and a 4.5 SR101 blade that is .25 thick. I purchased this knife from a fellow forum member in new condition. I have not used, sharpened, or inserted it in a sheath, though I'm including the new factory pouch sheath shown in the photographs below. $230 USPS MO / $238 PayPal
