The sword is a bit longer than an AK as this swords blade is 24.5" long (ask me how I know )
Looks like it is a shortened regular Butaniku comparing it with the other I have in the shop.
The shorter length sure makes it more stout while still making it fast in the hand.

I am curious about the design process.

How do the dimensions of your blade compare to a Butaniku?
Was this made from a Butaniku blank that has been shortened and had the fuller milled in?
Is the fuller intended to move the center of percussion to a certain point?

In short, how did you know what you wanted?

Yes, as far as I know, she is made from a Butaniku Blank that is ground shorter. She's 7" shorter than the Butaniku. I liked the fuller because it maintains strength with less weight, but I think the Butaniku has a fuller too.
You'll love this... I wish I could tell you differently, but the design processes was literally I saw some pix of one that was made for the last Knob Creek show, called Garth and asked "Can you make me one of those?!??"
Garth said "No problem!" and the rest is in pix!

I'm going to give it a shot... I live in a place in SoCal where I think the neighbors would literally call the police and hide if they saw me with her!
There are some bushes that may get "trimmed manually" this summer in my backyard.
I'll see if I can get video going for that and if I can get some limbs to smack too.

Did the butaniku ever come in a satin finish?

I asked about getting her in satin finish when I ordered her, but unfortunately due to the grind Garth said no.

If the Busse ladies (aka Busse Angels) ever get an appearance on the Walking Dead they need a matched set if these w/ BuyBrown zombie-skin sheaths. Personal carry blade would be their own choice and better reflect personalities. Just putting it out there.
