Jerry did a version of the F/S Commando Dagger and skunk ended up with it.

There were some posted for months and months that never sold. I'm sure if you post at WTB some will pop up. It never seemed like a really popular custom. Most of them were posted at original purchase price or even slightly less.

While that may have been true at one time, I think I could probably get twice retail for mine now. They have become extremely popular lately and I've received several requests in regards to the one's I used to have for sale

The fit and finish on both the Gladius & the Daggers is fantastic. I got a chance to handle both at Blade (different years, obviously). Given my state laws regarding double edged blades, I decided to pass, but it wasn't easy. If you can find one and the it's legal in your locale, I say buy it. I was surprised that Eric's sat unsold for so long.

part of the reason for the expense is the thickness of the stock when they start out, and the machining that goes into milling out the handles etc.

Yes, it is an integral design, one piece of steel from tip to tail, and the milled out for the scales.
