A few years ago, my friend Alessandro, bought a FFBM Busse, with black cover.....
A good Camp-knife of famous American company, a full-tang INFI steel, 16 " total length with a thickness of 8 mm.....

Not happy, and prefer the LE model, thought it well, to remove the epoxy coating on the blade, to make it look like the LE model ....... At the end of the treatment, the knife was approximately so.

The blade whit mirror finish, and the back were left a little rough, creating a kind of Brut de Forge .....
At this point, my friend decided to take a new one, directly LE, and I agree with him I began to get this model .......
After holding it for a couple of years, in the sheath, on display case, and having used it only once, I realized that I no longer liked the knife, also over-weight, balanced mostly on the front, irritated ther use of the knife ...

In addition, due to the amount of knives in my possession, I decided to change it, sending him to Eros Sonvilla (an Italian Maker), for a total revision.
After I had agreed with my friend, the knife went home, changed completely:

The Handle, now hidden tang, has been realized in micarta, with a small inlays, always of the same material, but of a different color, which breaks some of the exaggerated dimensions of Handle and blade.
Also Also, we added a sheath of black leather, which does not clash with their own model ....

The original shape was completely misinterpreted, turning it in a beautiful Bowie.
The blade has been shortened about one inch, and the new guard has been advanced slightly, so as to better balance the whole.
Now the model looks like this:

Darrex, that represents a lot of hours of work. It's done very professionally and came out excellent. It shows great talent. In Infi it should be a wonderful bowie knife that has all of the polish and shine lacking in the Busse models. Looks and performance, an exciting combination. Salute!

I looking for Busse Battle Pappy from more time...... but unfortunately I could not to get one yet.

Very classic and beautiful bowie Darrex!
FFBM,less unnecessary weight is equal to a real knife,is the natural law!
You should now put to the test the INFI.

Other pics to see the effective dimension.

Wow. So, the knifemaker who did the Mod, He just remove the stock? or He, also did heat treat the blade again?

Thanks

Sorry but I don't know some words , what is the "stock"?
However, he worked the blade hardened, as it was. Indeed, it has consumed a lot of tapes, of the sander.
