Busse F.A.Q.'s, Topics Beat to Death, Questions asked repeatedly, etc...

Does Amy-0 have a stalker?

Yes she already has at least one that we know of. There is no need to stalk her further. She seems happy with the stalker she has and we should all respect that.

What does the 0 in Amy-0 stand for?

I am not telling... there are some things you have to work for.

Damn right!! :grumpy: :D:D:D ;) lolz

Haven't read through this whole thread, but figured it was worth bumping since I failed the first thing at the very top. Is that really how you pronounce Busse? If so, I've had it wrong in my head since the beginning.

Q: I chipped the edge on my Busse knife. Should I send it back to be resharpened?

A: That's not a chip, genius. It's a roll or a dent. Steel it out with a SMOOTH steel and go beat that bad girl again!

Just reading through this thread a little bit, yeah I noticed last week that it was Amy-"Zero" and not Amy-"Oh." Funny when you learn a whole subculture without hearing anyone say anything. Just silent learning, easy to mispronounce everything. Funny thing is, I never questioned what I had in my head.

Sounds like you need to make some phone calls to some INFI brothers and sisters. It really does help to personally talk to other people who share your interests when everyone you personally know thinks you're nuts for collecting what, to them, appears to be just expensive toys.

Careful the Pork Rind Police are going to chastise you for bringing up old threads!

For the longest, I thought it was Carbon "V" and not "Carbon Five." Heck, when I was a kid, I thought they were "tenny shoes."

The name is Bus-EEE. Stress is on the first syllable, but the e is indeed pronounced like a long e (as in bee).

That's crazy, man, I mean the BussEEE part, lol. Get way into a knife and then realize you've been saying wrong name in your head the whole time!

And I thought it was Carbon "V" also until I read you post. Man, it's weird how much I've learned about knives without ever hearing anyone SAY anything!

Question: "I just bought this Busse knife off a guy at a knife show, how can he transfer his warranty to me?"

The warranty goes with the knife.

If it hasn't been drastically altered, you should be fine. If it's been thinned to a splinter and it snaps when you try prying open a car hood, you are probably on your own.

They would probably repair slabs and recoat at cost. Some alterations obviously dramatically affect the original design of the knife and a manufacturer should have the right to determine if it's a warranty issue or a failure due to the alteration of the blade.

Certainly not to say that alteration is bad! Making a knife your own unique creation is a part of knife using and collecting.

Why are they so expensive, the Ginsu knife I got off the TV only cost me $19.95 and they gave me a second one free. And it can saw thru a nail! Or a frozen turkey, then it will still cut a ripe tomato paper thin. Will a Busse do that?
