Busse Folder coming soon!

Yep... anything can fail.
Enjoy your toys and thanks for a interesting thread.

I have a G43 and have one complaint--I don't need a finger extension on the second magazine for a pocket pistol. Anyone have a flat floorplate and want a second extended? Tradja.

I'd buy an INFI folder, blue/black G10. I use a folder every day.

454, I thought your username was a reference to the Cassull, as your avatar pic has always been of you shooting. That's a TON of knives, regardless of what they are.

Weren't you carrying a Glock at Blade a year or two ago? It is a tool and a tool can fail. I just have shot a lot of bullets through a lot of Glocks and haven't seen it. I don't trust any other 9mm that is the same size as a 5 shot revolver and not much heavier.

Nope, either my Sig P290 or when I travel long distances I bring a hi cap with me so maybe the M&P.

I haven't shot glocks extensively just because I don't like them, but I have shot many different models and the one that came halfway to float my boat was a 21SF, I shot it, then I remembered one reason why I don't like glocks, they don't shoot the way I want them to

I never tried the P290 because the P250 was a train wreck. Sig ended up sending me all kinds of parts and an armorer CD. I like the M&P's though, that must have been what it was.

If I was Jerry, I wouldn't make a folder. People already shoot the fixed blades, can you imagine the warranty claims for a folder? "I just got this new G43 but didn't have any targets so I stuck my folder into a fence post and went to town. Please fix the broken everything"

As did I. Have you shot the G43? I got one a couple weeks back, and it promptly replaced my DB9 for pocket carry as the former would not feed almost any FMJ I tried in it. Interestingly in the first G43 range session I tried Hornady Critical Duty +P, and it was waaaaaaaay less recoil than even the Blazer Brass I have. I don't get that and didn't bring my chronograph, but whatevs. It didn't have a hiccup.

Not that using Critical Duty is wrong or anything, and you are likely well aware, but Hornady specifically makes the Critical Defense with compact guns like the G43 in mind and Critical Duty with design more for full size guns. Not sure how recoil would be affected, but you might have even better performance with Crit Defense in the G43. Just a note. I'm having trouble trying to type this and have it read as helpful, rather than come across like a know-it-all interloper.

Right, but I was looking for +P, and the Critical Duty was what was on the shelf. I couldn't remember if the Defense is made in +P or not and was about to go test it.

Yeah, first series of 250s had issues, same with the 290. Mine is the updated RS model, its served me well and carries well. I don't recall ever whipping out the M&P for show and tell but maybe. Hopefully that will have a threaded barrel soon and will be able to play with my M11A1. Suppressors are fun :)

You didn't whip it out. I'm just observant.:)

Those G43 mag extensions are out there. I've left a message on your message board (at least, I think that's what it is).

Hey M,

When you mentioned"long distances" that made me think of carrying in a different state. I'm wondering how hard is it to get a carry permit for another state? I've heard of states having a reciprocity agreement, where it's ok to carry in the other state with just the permit from your state. Is that correct? If there is no such agreement, how difficult is it to get a permit from a state where you aren't a resident?
I'm not American, but I've been getting very interested in the politics of gun laws in Canada. I've come to realize that some states have got certain laws that are worst than ours. At least you guys can carry. One advantage that we've got is that the law is the same from coast to coast (federal jurisdiction).

Most states won't allow a non resident to get a carry permit unless there are extenuating circumstances (I.e. Military member stationed in that state). Reciprocity is depends the on the state. Some states won't recognize a "shall issue" license. Meaning you don't have to go to a class, qualify, etc to get your permit. I have a TX carry permit, and due to the training requirement, I have not been moved by the military to any state that won't recognize it. Then you have the com... I mean anti-2nd amendment states who make it almost impossible to get a carry permit regardless

^^^^ ouch! ..... I think that it's wise to take some form of safety class to avoid "accidents".... It would be nice to see first aid/CPR as well as basic firearm safety classes given in high schools. This should be part of the regular curriculum. Just my thought. you've got your high school certificate..... The states knows you can be trusted to handle a firearm safely.

I fear the Busse folder is on pace with the MN Vikings winning a super bowl :(

Unless they decide to make it illegal "coast to coast"

This might shed some light on the US situation. http://www.usacarry.com/concealed_carry_permit_reciprocity_maps.html

....that, they've already done.... Clears some of the confusion though;)

Few years back (ok... About 15 years) I met an American motorcyclist on the Blue ridge parkway. We were stopped at an Inn after a long day of riding. He lived in North Carolina and was on his way back home from a visit at the inlaws in New York State. He carries a Makarov pistol and has his NC licence. He didn't know that he was "up the creek without a paddle" should he get caught in NY state with his firearm.... You guys need a federal licence.

However, I gotta admit.... At least one can carry in one's own state.... Impossible here. Can't even see the day when that will happen.

Thanks for the link
