Any thoughts on a drop-in INFI blade conversion for, say, a Sebenza?

There may be some copyright issues, but I for one would like to have an INFI Sebenza or Hinderer.

There were thoughts about a folder about 6 yrs ago. A lot of anticapation and nothing happened. I think you and a few thousand other people would love to see a Busse folder.

I forget who has them or who made them, but there are already custom/custom-ish folders out there with INFI blades that were cut from an ASH or something...

I'd like a Blackwood Skirmish, like the BM version - only better, with an INFI blade. that would be pretty interesting. I think a skinny ASH would make a good blank.

Just to be clear; I didn't want to ignite a discussion of a complete folder from Jerry (or the recently auctioned prototypes).

Just some thoughts on a "hybrid" design using INFI steel for the blade and the user's choice of handle/locking mechanism.

Methinks a hybrid Busse/Sebenza would be the shiznit.

Doc--- Get a Rick Haney folder to hold you over. You will thank me.:cool:

Very nice.

I bought a Seb a few months ago and have been thinking of getting a blade made for it. Even considered buying the Scrapper5 LE for materials. Might have to look into this project once more.

ronybear has two Reese Weiland custom folders, with blades cut from INFI.

I can't see Busse making blades to drop into a folder, but you might be able to find a maker to do it for you.

A little bird, in Easton, told me that a Busse Folder "is" coming.

Hasn't it been 'coming' for decades?

Btw, it might be easy to make a bali-song or similar type folder (cold steels triple folder type "non-butterfly" comes to mind). The locking mechanism for butterfly knives are likely not under patent anymore.
