Busse folder patent

If you want to see the images you need to go to the "Help" page using the button at the top right of the images pages. I had to download some sort of Active-X tiff file viewer. It works.

Thank you very much for figuring this out!!!

Busse folder what? Orizondo, a copy of the avatar here too please :D

Here are some of the pics from the site for those having problems viewing. Click on each for a larger version.

I can gather from the pictures and patent description that it is a folding knife with a locking mechanism similar (locking bar on top of the folder) to the Axis lock or even better like the Blackie-Collins strut system (the one you had to push/slide front to lock) but with a magnet/spring to automate operation. Also the lock engages from the closed position so the knife does not open accidentally (some of the drawings do not show this and show a blade with thumstuds). Basically what is in the pictures is a conceptual rendering to show the operation of the mechanism and does not describe a specific blade type (although a very nice drop point profile is shown). I'm goint to try and read the whole thing but man, lawyers can complicate reading.

Yeah, I downloaded the picture (like 20 pages) and looks like the patent covers several variations. This type of locking system (like the axis) has been proven one of the most solid and secure. Nothing less expected from Jerry Busse.

You need to ask for the link to the video. He posted it here once, but some mean old mod removed it.

A link to the Video please!?!?!?!

Sheesh, you people. Just go to Youtube, search on "Keyra", and enjoy.

As long as you're at it, search "Ele"

As far as I know, Keyra only has the two videos out, and Ele only has one.

Oh, and great find on the patent. :)

I made the initial designs and drawings in 1995!!!!

A mere "2 weeks later" and the patent was granted in April of 2006.

Man. . . . it's always the new guys who find everything!!! :D

The drawings are not of the actual knife but of the mechanisms. The knife pictured in the drawing is all kind of "too ugly"!!!

Now, I'm startin' to think that this whole INFI folder thing might not be a hoax!!!!

Nuke on my wayward HOGs!!!

Jerry :D
