Busse Folder ???

The next proto I held was a lot cooler than this one from 2010. This one had a clear side to show the patented lock system within, not so much concentrating on the overall look, which is why photos were allowed. Note the way I'm holding it, no way to show or expose the lock.
The next had a blade like a CBT Jackhammer, & the ability for G-10 scale swapping. I was trying to take a pic for the forum, but Jerry nixed that...
"What are you doing?"
"What does it look like? I'm snapping a pic for the forum, Bossman."
"Gimme me that back!!"
...I tried...lol 😅

It would be cool if Jerry brolabbed with Joe Caswell, who invented the morphing karambit, for a Busse *non* folder 🤙

I held folders that Jerry passed back to me as I sat folded up in the back of his convertible during Blade West over a decade ago.
I’ve learned not to hold my breath over the intervening years.
Until and unless it is perfect Jerry isn’t going to release it, and that’s the way it should be.

Until that day arrives……Let’s Drink!

I know the folder is kind of a running gag, but hear me out: I think someone could make custom scales for a Cold Steel AD-10 that would make it a somewhat convincing Busse folder. It already has a drop point blade profile similar to a lot of Busse knives, a forward finger/sharpening choil, a thick and overly strong build, handle shape that locks in the fingers from both the front and the back, and even has a feature in the front of the handle that looks kind of like the Busse talon hole. If someone used layered black and colored G-10 and added Busse's bullnose texturing with a 3D-contoured palm swell, the knife would be very reminiscent of Busse's popular knives in folding form. If modding the liners isn't out of the question, the Demko index finger and pinkie choils could be smoothed out into a continuous contour more similar to the typical Busse grip (and the area around the "talon hole" could be rounded off), and scallops could be cut into the front and back edges of the handle.
