Busse Folder???

All these postings begging for a Busse folder got me thinking about what one might look like if it were made. So, I decided to play around with it in CAD and here's my interpretation. It's basically a slightly downsized BATAC folder.

It still has a few kinks but overall I think it turned out okay.

One heck of a start! You gotta love CAD. You may have hit on a new thing for HOGite's wanting to have a custom done to their specifics clearly stated.

I didn't bother assigning materials but I had been thinking machined micarta slabs over ti liners with, what else, an INFI blade and back spacer/skull crusher.
 
Skull crusher on the folder? I love it. Nice touch, but it's not in the one and only picture.

that blade on the one in the pic looks sweet=)

I wonder if it will be an offering on the regular website, or if it will just be a custom
 
Man,that looks awesome!!!

I would'nt want a skull crusher on a pocket folder though, it does look great but if carried in pocket with clip that crusher could cause some discomfort.

Other than that one thing I would take one just like it NOW!!!

Yup, but that one is grippier, though I wouldn't want the skull crusher in my pocket :eek: - a million jokes here...
Nice idea though! Great blade for a solid folder.:thumbup:
 
Thanks for all the comments. And thanks to Damn the Man for the "under cover" pic of the actual prototype. I hadn't run across that before.

For those that were curious I used SolidWorks and, yeah, I knew the skull crusher was kind of impractical but it was keeping with the BATAC theme. Not like I ever had to actually worry about carrying it in my pocket.:D

Also the pattern on the handle slabs isn't as aggressive as the pics make it look. It's pretty shallow and is essentially the same as on the TAC handles.
 
We use CATIA at my work, it looked like thats what it could have been drawn in but I was wrong.
