Yes, a folder was made from a BAIII by custom knife maker Matt Cucchiara, it was a titanium frame lock design, I saw it at Blade '06, it was nice. There is a thread on it somewhere, it is nothing like the Busse patent though.

Thanks. When doing a search with the help of your information, I could only find a thread talking about the plan to let it be made,
but there is no final result posted in it, probably because the thread starter got banned later on.

Dave Brown was the one who had it at Blade '06, it wasn't his though, it was someone he knew and brought it, I don't know where it is now.
