Busse Folder?

Has Busse ever produced a folder or collaborated with a manufacturer on a folder (like a combat folder)? I'm assuming not but I think they should...crinkling on a folder blade...nice :cool:
 
yes they have, there was a bit of controversy recently regarding a prototype that was sold on a popular auction site, which was not supposed to be sold. it is not something normally/regularly produced by the Busse crew.

Its for real (the folder part, not the release part), but we just don't talk about it. Basically someone who Jerry trusted/asked them not to sell it went ahead and sold it with some other rarities to make a buck.

I believe it isn't being made due to the costs of it, the closest your going to get is to find a swamp rat "Rat Trap" in the exchange.

Looking at the rat trap it can give you a idea of what the prototype folder that we don't talk about looks like (though its not the same).

Somi I'd advise you to edit your post and remove that before a mod sees it.

I know people are curious about how it looks, but its not something that is to be discussed or shown in here.
 
I'll be happy as long as they make it practical in that it can be an every day carry (EDC). They should resist the temptation to make it freakishly big like some of their fixed blades.

Consider at least offering an option to have crinkling on the blade as I personally identify Busse knives with crinkling. That would absolutely set your folder apart from all others!

Perhaps most importantly, don't make it a limited run or prohibitively expensive. $300 would be a decent sweet spot.
 
I actually dont even want a folder from Busse, to me Busse are synonymous with quality FIXED blades and I dont mind it staying that way. :thumbup:

That looks nothing like a Busse...I hope they reconsider that prototype. And where's the crinkling?! :(

Also, I'd prefer a thumb stud over a hole in the blade, but that's just me.
 
Look brutha--- When the Busse folder arrives, it will represent Quality, just like Busse fixed blades!! And you will squeal for one!! :)

Just got in a Zero Tolerance "strider/Onion" ZT0301 folder and absolutely love it. It is now my carry knife. great feel and super heavy duty lock and fast opening. I'm content with Busse Fixed knives.

Take a look at Shane Sibert's Pocket Rocket (or mini pocket rocket for that matter).

How heavy duty is your ZT's lock now? :D
