I see there is a Buck sub-forum.....any chance of a Busse for sale sub-forum?
There are so many for sale/trade it bogs up the for sale/trade forums!

I don't recognise you from the Busse forum do you post there under a diffeent handle? Buck has its own sub-forum because Buck forum members asked for it and were able to show they would support it by adding 40 new gold or better memberships from people upgrading. I don't recall seeing anyone from the Busse forum requesting a seperate Busse sale forum.

Micky,

Oupa's a maker of extrordinary knives and one of the Backyard Mechanics. He's provided valuable knives, information, and entertainment to several knife related forums. Whether's he's frequently on the Busse forums or not, he's voicing a request on behalf of folks who don't want to wade through six pages of $400 Game Wardens to find that Schrade Middleman that might be listed between those sales.

To me, the answer is simple: Buy everyone's Busse and Busse-related knife and not resell them so those posts drift away and let the other knives rise towards the top. Okay, not feasible, but another one would be for folks to stop posting in for-sale threads saying "Oooh, what a good price! If only I wasn't broke, I'd be so on that!" or "Free bump."

Fair enough, so maby he should learn to use the search feature, or if the knife type is so popular that it causes errors on the search return, maby he should be petitioning to get the search feature fixed.

Make a seperate Busse for sale thread fine. But it will be Busse only which means our rats and dogs will still be listed in the main thread. They are 3 seperate companys. 2 of which have seperate boards on this forum. Or do you now want 3 seperate sale forums, 1 for Busse, 1 for Swamp Rat and 1 for Scrap Yard knives.

Everyone that trys to force Busse sales into its own sale forum seems to either be ignorent of the fact that it is 3 seperate companys or just don't care.

Maby a better solution would be to seperate the production sale forum into 3 or 4 seperate subforums by price. 50.00 and under, 50.01 - 100.00, 100.01 -250.00 and 250.01 350.00 and 35.01 and up This way people could shop by their price range and it would keep most of those inferior non Busse knives in the lower 3 tiers. :D :D

I'm not going to make 3 seperate Busse for sale forums. I acknowledge there are 3 different companies, however, there isn't enough sustainable traffic to justify dedicated for sale forums for them.

Basically, my same criteria exists from last time. There need to be 40+ gold members or above who want this forum for it to take place. I'd prefer to see people saying "Yes, if this was here I'd become a Gold (or higher) member"

Spark,

I think in this case the forum should just be done. There are more than enough Gold Members who sell Busse's on a daily basis. Just look at the first few pages on the For Sale Forum and you'll see plenty of Busse, Swamp Rat, and Scrap Yard knives up for sale at any given time. They severely clog up the forum and make it difficult for others to find what they are looking. You should instead consider how many members as a whole, Gold or otherwise, want the forum to be created.

And totally ignore the fact that none of them are Busse fans. Buck fans wanted their own sub-forum. In this case you are asking for 40 gold or better upgrades to forcefully segregate Busse to its own Forum. Since that is the case and there are so many knife company forums maby you should seek 120 since it is a forced move of 1 companys fans sales.

As mentioned before, maybe stricter rules on comments in for sale / trade threads i.e. only serious enquiries allowed.

Spark,

I for one wouldn't care if there was a Busse Sale Sub-Forum. I think that the other members who are not into Busse Knives would appreciate it also.

Think of how clear the production knives for sale forum would be if it were Busse free. Members could post all Busse, Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard in one place.

I buy my knives to keep and I hardly sell at all, so all this Busse flipping kind of chaps my hide alittle too. I can understand how people who don't care for Busse would be really pissed off. I hope you will at least consider it, it would make a lot of members very happy IMHO:D

I find the verbage a bit strong to say that the Busse WTS/WTT are clogging up the sale/trade forums. Such ads might be using the WTS/WTT but because they are not knives you desire that makes there use of the forums a problem?

I payed for my membership and I see no reason to be excluded from a section because I might use it more than someone interested in other knives?

But if some of thoes so interested in knives other than Busse wanted to pay for a Busse sale/trade fourm for me who am I to stop them ;)

Just wondering.............

Any by brand for-sale forum seems silly to me. It is nearly unimaginable that a person could be so lazy that they can’t click through the pages of the for sale forum to find what they are looking for. Also I have bought many Spydercos, Benchmades and other knives while looking for Busse knives and I think that would be true of many guys that go there looking for just Busses.

So I think that if you split off the Busse knives then you also kill some of the effectiveness of the for sale forum for other knives.

Also I would think that the manufacturers & makers wouldn’t like it, and shouldn't like it. Many times while looking through the for sale posts I see new knives that interest me and then begin to buy those knives. This is how I got started on Dozers, and why I’ll never buy a Buck, because I’ll never see them.

So in general I think it a bad idea for many reasons and stems from people that are too lazy to even click a few extra times.

I'd upgrade to have a busse only forum. I can buy a spyderco or benchmade or whatever pretty much anywhere. I only search the wts boards for busses due to their limited supply. Why do I want to see spyderco and benchmade when I am looking for a busse and family?

I'm wondering why Busse folks are against having a separate forum for Busse sales. This may be a dumb question, but what's the argument against? Would a separate forum decrease views/sales? Make things more expensive/ difficult for Spark?

I for one (already a gold member) would like to see a separate "Busse for sale" forum- so I don't have to wade through other knives I'm not interested in. Of course, I'm still only window shopping at this point (don't quite have the scratch yet to afford such fanciness).

I vote for a separate forum, for what its worth.

I don't care either way, but it's a common complaint. Even more common than my "why won't anyone sell a Heavy Ordnance Fusion Steelheart for retail and have it stay available long enough for me to get it?" complaint, but harder to understand. ;)

I like many different knives, Busse among them. I don't have any trouble finding ANYTHING I want to find. That's just me. If I want it, I find it. Or is it, if I find it I want it? Hmmm...........A Busse Sale forum would be pretty conveinent though!

Being primarily a Busse customer I wouldn't be against having our own "market". Busse's customer base appreciates good knives and buy/sell/trade from other makers as well. The WTS forum is not repleat with Busse's for sale because there are a million cagillion Busse's out there...it is because this is a group that is very active in buying/selling/trading. The only reason I have found some other makers or models was because of their posts there and trust in their taste in knives. I would pose a question to non-Busse sellers... "Would you want to miss out on all the traffic of people who are obviously not afraid to spend just so people didn't have to click a couple links (page #'s)?".

I recently started selling a few knives and realized after I had created some spam by not putting them all in one post.

I like Progunner's approch which is to create a single post and updated it with multiple knives and additions over time.

Great - set up your own sales forum and solve YOUR problem. Do not start telling me what I need to do to solve YOUR problem. I do not have a problem with the current system.

I guess I am just against segreation. :)
