I have been looking at this knife to use as a camp utility, multi purpose knife for a long time. I will be pairing this with my Gransfors Bruk small forest axe for my need.

Any thoughts on the Hellrazor?

This is my first Busse and I'm hoping I do not regret selling my small Fiddleback and Bark River Bravo..

Thanks in advance,

I love the Helrazor, in fact I love it so much that I own 3. It is a perfect combat knife. That being said, it is a combat knife. It is nothing like the Fiddleback, and only cursorily like the BR Bravo.

If you are looking for something that can hack and pry, then it is the right knife for you, but if you are really looking for something more bushcrafty than a utility tool, then I can't recommend it.

This is never the knife that I am going to pull out to make feather sticks, or whittle a spoon, it is the type of knife you strap on your INCH bag.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.

perfect razorsdescent, thank you. I have a small custom 3.75 inch blade for anything more bushcrafty. I just feel I need a little something bigger and tougher in my kit.

I've taken this knife into the woods several times. It will chop wood, you can baton with it nicely, etc. It's not a beast like the Battle Mistress which can chop down a redwood, but it works nicely. I like it because it's one of the thinner and therefore lighter busses (compared to most of their 1/4in offerings) yet still long enough to have some heft. I'd recommend getting it with mag handles if you can find one, I found the regular handles didn't give me enough grip. Others will probably disagree of course. :) But it's a great knife, favorite user busse.
